Apparently they did it about 10 years ago too. The idea is to do it in some kind of controlled manner. To me it would be a real leap of faith to walk into one of those offices (especially in this day and age) and say "hey, here I am. I'm one of those guys who broke your laws. Where's my citizenship?" I think they’re actually doing something like that, where they’re allowing them to get status, if they only jump through such and such hoops. Apparently they did it about 10 years ago too.
